Bridge
Abutment: A road bridge needed to be built across a
railway line. The ground was soft and so foamed concrete was
used to construct the bridge abutment. When compared with
traditional fill materials, foamed concrete required less
piles to be constructed and the walls and foundations were
smaller, so there were huge costs savings made by using
foamed concrete. |

Bridge Strengthening: Foamed
concrete was used to strengthen this railway bridge in
Battersea, London, UK. The railway line is very busy and had
to be kept open during repair work. Foamed concrete was used
to encase the existing steel structure and strengthen the
bridge. |
